Time Flies

Aleksandra Cwik.jpgYesterday’s long awaited press conference finished another day of our simulation and brought us already to its second part.

Indeed, time flies, as merely seventy two hours ago probably most of our, now well acquainted and relaxed, participants felt pleasant butterflies in their stomach as a sign of the excitement and huge expectations. Today their arrival to the venue seemed almost like a routine, while only yesterday even its building appeared in their imagination as a great mystery, just another one after the rules of procedure, debates on amendments, colleagues in the faction, future Tweets and even the taste of lunch.

Especially after the yesterday’s dinner also Vienna is no longer an unknown and full of tricky labyrinths metropolis, but a friendly and welcoming city, perfect to rest after the whole day of heated debates. Exactly. Were they heated? Or was it just a delicate warm-up before what is going to happen today? Did informal discussions help to create coalitions and mutual support? Or did they inflame the conflicts and give ground for today’s perky session? Will we witness any controversies today or will we watch a parade of political correctness? It is already the third day of our simulation, but the lagoon of questions does not lose its power.

During a serious day filled with challenges and creativity, it is not difficult to forget that this a simulation. It is a pleasure to see real commitment and true engagement from the participants. I cannot wait to answer all the questions of today.
